Why not start implementing oil res base slowly going down? Via GN and dicing or everybody lose... 1 oil base per 2Q or something like that.
Iths the end of world for standard player thinking but irl we are kinda at oil peak or close and adding more oil aint good.

For the length of a game though and the time we have for oil to dissappear, removing base during game doesn't seem to have alot to do with balance or real life. its a good idea if the game ran twenty years, but I haven't seen one of those in my three years.

I wrote something nifty and complicated about waning oil base and such once, but it would take time to learn those rules, and we kinda have enough rules anyway.

One tiny problem... oil production is still increasing, so I really don't see why oil base should be decreased.

It does increase, though IL upgrades, SMC changes etc. :D
